Far Out Theatre… in your face since 2005

Welcome to Far Out Theatre, where creativity meets chaos! We’re a vibrant and eclectic mix of people from all walks of life. Some of us are seasoned performers; others step onto the stage for the very first time. Civil servants, bartenders, teachers, make-up artists, and retirees - you name it, we’ve probably got it. Together, we embody the true spirit of Far Out Theatre: we write, we direct, we build, we perform.

Our journey began in June 2005 with a family-friendly panto. But by 2015, with our cheeky production of Rita, Sue and Bob Too!, we discovered our niche: bold, adult-themed shows with a saucy twist. In 2016, we leapt headfirst into the world of “Adult panto” with Aladdin: The Rude Panto, and we’ve never looked back.

Most recently, we’ve delighted audiences with Treasure Island: The Rude Panto, which has been a raucous adventure like no other! As we wrap up this production, we’re taking 2025 as a year of rest, reflection, and restructuring - because big things are coming. 2025 marks our 20th anniversary, and we’re gearing up to make 2026 our most explosive year yet. Think bigger, bolder, and off-the-scale productions.
